Chris Meigh-Andrews is Reader in Electronic & Digital Art at the University of Central Lancashire, where he has recently established the Electronic and Digital Art Unit (EDAU). He has an MA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths and completed a practice-based PhD at the Royal College of Art in 2001. A practicing artist specialising in electronic and digital media, he has been exhibiting his videotapes and installations internationally since 1978. Meigh-Andrews has been artist in Residence at Oxford Brookes University (1994), Saw Centre for Contemporary Art, Ottawa (1994), Cleveland Arts (1995), Prema Arts Centre (1995), and “Arts Council of England International Artist Fellow” in Krakow Poland 2003/04. He was the recipient two British council Travel Awards in 2005. His book ‘Video Art: A History of Technology and Form’ will be published by Berg in July 2006.
